There is a very special place in our hearts for our beautiful Lagotto dogs that have crossed the rainbow bridge, each leaving an indelible mark on our lives and the legacy of our breeding program.
These cherished companions, who once graced us with their loyalty, affection, and unwavering companionship, are remembered fondly for the joy and love they brought into our lives.
While their physical presence may be gone, their spirits live on in the memories we hold dear and the offspring they’ve left behind.

LK Cara Mia
My, our special girl Mia crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2023 at the age of just over 15 years. I am heart broken.

Cara Mia (Mia), without question holds a very special place in our hearts and on our bed for that matter! Mia was totally convinced that any visitors were simply here to see her and to watch her demonstrate her incredible detection ability.
Mia was out going, incredibly friendly to all people and when not around us she spent her days trying to keep all the other dogs here organised. They all loved her – she was the boss!
Mia loved going anywhere even if it was to the vet. She loved her spa treatments and she loved her toys. Nick named “MaGee” or just simply “Gee”, Mia retired from our breeding program in 2013.
Her daughter Houla has now stepped into her shoes here at Lagotto Kennels. Mia remaind with us as our ambassador and much loved pet. She pursued her tracking ability and also joined our show team in 2014.

Bacci
Crossed the Rainbow Bridge May 2022.
Bacci I miss you but cross that rainbow bridge and find Ernie and Cameo. I know you will wait for me but go for now. You took my heart, which you knew .

LK Cameo
Crossed the Rainbow Bridge June 2021.
Heartbroken today with Cameo crossing the rainbow bridge just 1 day before she and her sister Mia turned 13. My house feels so empty. Just so sad today. Love always “Bam Bam” you have taken a big piece of my heart.

Cameo was perhaps our most regal dog – although fondly nick named “Sassquatch”. She was an incredible athlete who could jump any fence on our property if she so chose to – but never to leave.
Regardless of the weather, Cameo never got dirty, she simply did not like mud. She was quite a character – always being the last to get up in the mornings – but once awake, she was always ready to go for a walk, which she loved more than anything next to Ernie.
After producing beautiful puppies Cameo retired from our breeding program. It is now up to her son Bacci and grandsons to carry on her legacy. Cameo stayed with us to enjoy her retirement.

Mirta (Morara)

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase Mirta from Italy in December of 2010, thanks to the help of a very good friend there. With a great pedigree and excellent health she was a wonderful addition to our kennel.
Nicknamed “Mirtz”, she was of lovely temperament, loved to work and above all, she simply just wanted to please us. Mirta, without question, was extremely talented at truffle search.
Structurally she had an excellent top-line, chest and an outstanding coat. Although not tall she had a lot of substance which she threw to her pups.
Mirta was the mother of our Champion Eva Angelina and also of our star Nocino. Mirta has also produced excellent truffle and detection dogs with great health results.
